Regenerative Sports Medicine Orthopedics is a cutting-edge approach to healing sports injuries and musculoskeletal conditions using the body’s natural ability to repair damaged tissues. At CORE, based in Princeton Junction, NJ, we utilize innovative treatments like platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, extracorporeal shockwave therapy (ESWT) and prolotherapy to promote faster healing, reduce pain, and restore function without invasive surgery.
Regenerative therapies effectively treat conditions such as torn ligaments and tendons, joint pain, osteoarthritis, muscle strains, sprains, rotator cuff injuries, tendonitis, bursitis, and cartilage damage. Whether you’re an athlete recovering from an injury or an active individual dealing with chronic pain, regenerative orthopedics can provide lasting relief and enhanced performance.
At CORE, we offer a range of regenerative treatments tailored to your specific condition and recovery goals. Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy uses concentrated platelets from your own blood to stimulate healing and tissue regeneration. Prolotherapy involves injecting a natural irritant to trigger the body’s healing response and strengthen weakened areas, while shockwave therapy delivers focused acoustic waves to injured tissues to promote blood flow, reduce pain, and speed up the healing process.
While each treatment works differently, they all aim to support your body’s natural ability to recover—without the need for invasive surgery or long-term medication. At CORE, we customize your care plan to match your injury, activity level, and performance goals, so you can heal efficiently and get back to doing what you love.

No. You can book an appointment with CORE without a referral from a primary care doctor, so you can access sports medicine care directly when you need it.
Not at all. Sports medicine is really movement medicine. Dr. Weinstein sees competitive athletes, weekend warriors, active adults, and people who simply want to walk, exercise, work, travel, or keep up with their family without pain getting in the way.
Your first visit is intentionally unhurried. Expect about 45–60 minutes with Dr. Weinstein, including a detailed history, hands-on examination, and, when appropriate, in-office musculoskeletal ultrasound. The goal is for you to leave with a clearer understanding of what’s going on and a treatment plan, rather than simply another referral.
Bring any relevant imaging reports, prior treatment records, medication information, and anything else related to the problem you’re coming in for. If you’ve already had X-rays, an MRI, physical therapy, injections, or other treatment, that information can help Dr. Weinstein understand the full picture.
